Czech government confirms sale of airport authority
M2 Communications
The Czech government has said that it will consider privatising the
state airport authority Ceska Sprava Letist (CSL) which runs the
country's main national airport.
Czech Prime Minister Stanislav Gross made the announcement on national
television but said that any sale would be led cautiously and would not
be rushed. CSL is a highly profitable firm that owns and runs Prague
Ruzyne airport - a major hub for flights to eastern Europe.
Authorities have confirmed that the float of shares worth USD740m would
take place before the country's 2006 general election, reports Reuters.
