Sydney Airport near Airbus deal
The New Zealand Herald
Sydney Airports Corp expects to reach agreement with airlines soon over
sharing the cost of upgrading Australia's busiest airport to accommodate
Airbus SAS's super jumbo A380.
Airports will need to expand runways and terminals to receive the
555-seat A380, which will be the world's biggest airliner when it begins
flying in 2006.
Airbus has orders for at least 129 of the double-decker A380s from
airlines including Qantas Airways, Emirates and Singapore Airlines.
