Nineteen of Peru's regional airports will benefit from a US$148mn cash
injection using resources generated by the Jorge Chavez international
airport concession, according to investment promotion agency
ProInversion, Peruvian news agency Andina reported.

ProInversion executive director Jorge Leon said the agency is
considering indirect investment of US$222mn to drive growth in the
aeronautical sector.

"These funds would be directed to the construction of hotels, terminals
and other infrastructure works to improve the operability of airports
within the country," he said.

Leon said these measures were considered as part of the Jorge Chavez
airport concession to provide funds for civil aviation authority Corpac
to reinvest in Peru's regional airports.
