No ruling in Air Canada suit over Paris airport move until late this
week

PARIS, (AFP) - A French court will rule late this week at the earliest
on a suit filed by Air Canada after it was forced to leave its regular
terminal at Paris's Charles de Gaulle airport, court sources said
Monday.

The Canadian carrier was temporarily ordered out of Terminal 2A to make
room for Air France, whose long-haul flights have been badly disrupted
by the May 23 collapse of part of the roof of the ultra-modern Terminal
2E.

Air Canada has said it viewed the move to the more distant Terminal 1 as
"unacceptable", especially as it was only to have lasted three days in
June but was now expected to continue at least until the end of
September.

An administrative court in the Paris suburb of Cergy-Pontoise on Monday
heard from both Air Canada and the target of the lawsuit, Aeroports de
Paris (ADP), but court sources said a date for a ruling had not yet been
set.

The court is to rule whether the Canadian airline should return or not
to Terminal 2A at Charles de Gaulle.

The director of the French operations of Air Canada, Thierry Baux, told
journalists that the airline had invested two million euros (2.2 million
dollars) to help renovate Terminal 2A.

Aeroports de Paris has refused to comment on the case.
