Security lacking at Danish airports report
NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT
An undercover investigation of Danish airports by daily newspaper Urban
has reportedly found terror security lacking as a journalist using the
name of a wanted al-Qaeda terrorist was able to buy an SAS ticket and
fly from Copenhagen to Arhus.
The journalist reportedly used the name Abu Lugman, a known alias used
by al-Qaeda terrorist Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, but had no problem
boarding a domestic flight and taking off from Copenhagen Airport.
No connection to the known terrorist was reportedly made at the ticket
counter or check-in, and security guards never posed a single question
about the journalist's identity. The alias is included on the FBI's top
ten most wanted terrorists in the world list.
Mogens Holgaard, the chairman of the Danish Pilots' Association, was
shocked by the newspaper's findings, reported Danish newspaper The
Copenhagen Post.
