Overall Passenger Traffic Rises

OVERALL PASSENGER TRAFFIC RISES United States airlines carried 43.5
million domestic passengers in February, an increase of 9.3 percent over
February 2003, according to the Department of Transportation's Bureau of
Transportation Statistics. Available seat miles, which measure capacity,
were up 12.4 percent in February over the year-earlier month, the agency
said. Delta Air Lines carried the most domestic passengers in February,
and its main hub, Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta,
remained the nation's busiest airport, with 2.8 million passenger
boardings.
