LA Airport Officials' Documents Subpoenaed
Feds Probing Possible Corruption
The Associated Press

LOS ANGELES -- Federal investigators probing possible corruption have
subpoenaed records of two airport officials appointed by Mayor James
Hahn.

The U.S. Attorney's office has demanded notes and files of Airport
Commission President Ted Stein and Deputy Executive Director James
Ritchie.

Specifically, investigators are looking for documents related to the
mayor's proposed $9 billion renovation plan for Los Angeles
International Airport.

Managers of the city's airport, harbor, and water and power departments
were previously subpoenaed in February.

Hahn's office has denied any wrongdoing in the awarding of contracts.
