Airline Sells Out First Flights From Gary Airport
WISH, IN
(Gary-AP) -- Southeast Airlines says it already has
sold out 5 of the flights to Florida it will soon
begin offering from the Gary/Chicago International
Airport. The Florida-based carrier also says it has
reached at least 80% capacity for other flights from
Gary.
Southeast will offer flights four times a week to St.
Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport. No
airline has provided scheduled passenger service from
the Gary Airport since Pan American Airlines left the
Airport in June 2002.
Southeast's first flight from Gary is February 25th.
Meanwhile, Harrah's Casino is starting a charter
flight from Gary in March transporting its high
rollers from the area to and from its casino in
Laughlin, Nevada. Gary Airport officials made that
