Sheremetyevo intends to find a compromise with the
Russian airline Aeroflot so as to manage the
Sheremetyevo airport jointly, Alfa Sheremetyevo
General Director Igor Baranovsky announced at a press
conference today. According to him, the announcements
Aeroflot's management made after the Sheremetyevo
board of directors selected Alfa Sheremetyevo to
manage the airport were purely emotional. Baranovsky
said that Alfa Sheremetyevo intended to cooperate with
Aeroflot in reforming the airport.

      According to Baranovsky, Alfa Sheremetyevo
regards the airport as an inefficient company with a
good potential however. As soon as Alfa Sheremetyevo
is officially approved as the management company for
the airport, it will establish a special task force to
comprise both domestic and foreign experts. The task
force is intended to work out a business plan for the
airport through 2015.

According to experts, the program for developing
the airport envisages between $1.5bn and $2bn in
capital investments.
