Passengers, Cargo Up Slightly at New Orleans
International Airport

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Passenger traffic increased and
cargo volume dropped at the Louis Armstrong New
Orleans International Airport in 2003.

 
The airport served 9,275,690 passengers in 2003,
compared with 9,251,773 in 2002, according to airport
figures released Monday.

In December, the airport served 776,318 passengers, a
6 percent increase over 731,654 passengers in December
2002.

Air cargo for 2003 totaled 80,831 metric tons, down
3.9 percent from 84,150 metric tons in 2002, the
airport said.
