Continental Airlines to Inaugurate Nonstop Service
Between Sacramento, Calif., And New York/Newark

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Jan. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL - News) and the
Sacramento County Airport System announced the airline
will begin once-daily nonstop, seasonal service May 2
linking Sacramento, Calif., with the airline's hub in
New York/Newark.
The new service, which will operate through Sept. 7,
will connect the California capital with Continental's
New York hub at Newark Liberty International Airport
and dozens of cities throughout the eastern United
States and the Caribbean.
"As the airline with the largest presence in the New
York area, Continental is proud to link the capital of
California with the world's financial capital," said
Hershel Kamen, Continental's staff vice president of
international and regulatory affairs. "This summer,
travelers in Sacramento will find getting to the east
coast, eastern Canada and the Caribbean to be easier
than ever."
Continental's Sacramento-bound flight will depart
Liberty International Airport at 5:40 p.m., arriving
at 9 p.m. The return flight will depart Sacramento at
10 p.m. and arrive at Liberty at 6 a.m.
The airline will continue to operate its two daily
nonstop flights between Sacramento and Houston. Those
services offer connections to dozens of cities in the
southern and eastern United States and in Latin
America.
Continental will operate its Sacramento-New York
services with the all-new Boeing 737-700
next-generation aircraft, which seats 12 customers in
first class and 112 in coach. Continental's flights
will offer full-service comforts, including
complimentary meal service and in-flight movies and
music.
OnePass frequent flyer program members will earn miles
that can be redeemed on Continental and its partner
carriers to hundreds of destinations worldwide.
Continental also offers its Silver, Gold and
Platinum-level OnePass members and its full-fare coach
travelers EliteAccess benefits, including
complimentary space-available first class upgrades and
priority boarding and baggage handling.
Travelers flying to New York will arrive at Newark
Liberty International Airport, the New York-area
airport most convenient to midtown Manhattan and
Newark, N.J. Frequent commuter rail and Amtrak service
at Liberty International Airport takes customers to
New York's Penn Station in less than 30 minutes, and
offers connections to points throughout New Jersey. In
addition, Continental offers on-airport connections
via Amtrak to Philadelphia, Wilmington, Del., and
Stamford and New Haven, Conn.
Customers flying beyond New York can connect to dozens
of cities in the eastern United States, and to cities
in Canada and the Caribbean. With more than 360 daily
flights to more than 120 destinations worldwide,
Continental is the largest airline in the New York
area. The airline's Terminal C at Liberty Airport,
which includes Saks Fifth Avenue and Kenneth Cole
department stores and a variety of high-end and
