Newark Airport Ranks Last Among Nation's Biggest Airports for On-Time Arrivals
News 12 New Jersey, NJ

(01/08/04) NEWARK - Newark Liberty International Airport ranked last among the
nation's biggest airports for on-time arrivals. It ranked near the bottom for
on-time departures during the first 11 months of 2003.

The data released Wednesday by the U.S. Department of Transportation
represented a sharp change from the same period in 2002. At that time, Newark
had the third best departure performance and was 18th in terms of on-time
arrivals among the nation's top 31 airports.

Officials from the Federal Aviation Administration say most delays were created
by the weather.
