November Airport Traffic Mixed

Memphis airports are reporting mixed aircraft operations in November 2003,
where Memphis International saw lower passenger and cargo movement on domestic
flights but higher movement on international flights.
Memphis International Airport had 5,916 domestic passenger aircraft movements
in November, compared to 8,058 in the same period last year. 196 international
passenger aircraft movements were reported, however, compared to 186.
Domestic cargo aircraft movements from the airport were down to 9,919, compared
to 10,456, while international cargo aircraft movements rose to 387, from 370
in the same period last year.
At the Charles W. Baker Airport in Millington, 3,334 aircraft movements were
reported in November, compared to 2,558. There was a drop in movements at the
General Dewitt Spain Airport in Downtown Memphis, to 4,053 from 4,256 in the
same period last year.
