Infratil In Talks To Buy Luebeck Airport
BERLIN (Dow Jones)--Infratil (IFT.NZ), a New Zealand-based infrastructure
investor, is in talks to buy the company that operates the Luebeck airport,
daily Die Welt reports, citing unnamed sources.
Some 500,000 passengers used the Luebeck airport last year, with 95% of those
booked on flights by Ryanair (RYAAY), the paper says. Infratil already has a
close cooperation with Ryanair at the Glasgow Prestwick International Airport,
which is 77%-owned by Infratil, it says.
There are two other parties interested in the airport, and they also have "good
chances," the paper says, citing Luebeck's mayor, Bernd Sachse. A decision is
expected Jan. 29, Welt says.
