D/FW Airport Sees 9.3% Percent Rise in Holiday Travel
Dallas Business Journal, TX

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport said it expects more than 3.2 million
passengers to pass through the airport during the Christmas and New Year travel
period, a 9.3 percent increase over the same time last year.

The holiday travel period began Dec. 19 and runs through Jan. 5.

Last year, 2.9 million passengers passed through D/FW Airport during the
Christmas and New Year period. In 2001, following the 9/11 terrorist attacks,
the airport recorded 2.8 million passengers during the holidays.

"It's evident that the economy is growing stronger and travelers are taking of
advantage of competitive fares and more flights," said Joe Lopano, executive
vice president at D/FW Airport. "We are cautiously optimistic that 2004 will be
an even stronger travel year."
