Adelaide Airport Security Criticized

South Australian Greens MP Kris Hanna has complained about security at
Adelaide Airport.

He said his shaving cream was confiscated, but he was allowed to take a
razor on board.

Mr Hanna has told state Parliament that he was also treated rudely by
security staff when setting off for an interstate trip.

He said his cabin baggage was opened, and he was castigated for carrying
shaving cream, before being allowed to repack his belongings, which included
a razor blade.

"So it seemed that there was more danger from threatening the pilots with a
canful of foam," he said.

"Perhaps they thought I was going to fog up the pilot's glasses or spray
foam on the windscreen of the aircraft, or threaten to shave myself if they
didn't turn the plane around."
