Airport Sanctions to Begin
After talks between the labor union and treasury officials broke down again,
customs workers have decided to once again implement sanctions at land and
seaports.
At 14:00, customs inspectors will begin scrutinizing all incoming and
outgoing passengers, a move that will result in long delays at Ben-Gurion
International Airport. A number of international flights are scheduled to
land shortly after the sanctions begin at 14:00.
In addition, imports will not be cleared by customs inspectors and a portion
of exports will also be hit with sanctions.
