GoM Shortlists Advisors for Airport Privatisation

The Group of Ministers on Aviation met yesterday, and started the
privatisation process by shortlisting three financial advisors for the
sale of Mumbai and Delhi airports, reports CNBC-TV18.

The three financial advisors shortlisted out of five are ABN Amro, Ernst
and Young and KPMG.

This was the first meeting of the GoM. Finance Minister Jaswant Singh,
Disinvestment Minister Arun Shourie, Law Minister Arun Jaitley and Civil
Aviation Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy were present at the meeting.

The final selection will be made in the next meeting of the ministers on
November 14, which is after their financial bids are opened.

A global technical advisor, who will advise on construction and
architecture, will also be appointed at the next meeting.

Rudy said, "Their bids will be evaluated and forwarded to the GoM for a
final decision."
