Surface-to-air missiles seized in Saudi Arabia
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation

It has been revealed that the authorities in Saudi Arabia seized a lorry
load of surface-to-air missiles last month, which they believe was destined
for a terrorist group.

The discovery was made by chance by Saudi police officers when they stopped
a large trailer on a desert road east of Jeddah.

Hidden inside they found an arsenal of surface-to-air missiles, each capable
of bringing down a civilian airliner.

Saudi special forces were called to the scene and detectives concluded the
weapons had been smuggled from Yemen.
