Airport Expansion Continues Despite Cuts
By Matt Sepic
KWMU Radio FM 90.7 St. Louis (MO)

ST. LOUIS - For the last two years, workers building a new 9,000 foot runway
at Lambert Airport in St. Louis have been moving enough dirt to fill Busch
Stadium about once a month.

They've torn down more than 1,000 homes and other buildings in Bridgeton,
and despite a major downturn in air travel and major cuts to the American
Airlines flight schedule, work is moving full-steam-ahead.
