New York Airport's Privately-Owned International Terminal Adds 50th Airline
The New York (NY) Daily News

The International Arrivals Terminal at Kennedy Airport has added its 50th
airline, Air Santo Domingo. The addition makes the facility one of the
largest terminal operators in the nation.

The Caribbean-based carrier offers daily flights between Santo Domingo,
Dominican Republic, and New York. The airline is the sixth to choose
Terminal 4 in 2003, following AeroSvit, Air Jamaica, Air Luxor, Avianca,
Singapore and Virgin Atlantic.

"Terminal 4 is a big facility with all the most modern features," said Jose
Miguel Patin, president of Air Santo Domingo. "We are pleased to offer our
customers a terminal that has been highly rated by passengers for a clean,
comfortable environment."

Daily service is offered on a Boeing 757 airplane with early morning
arrivals and departures.

Flight EX 701 from Santo Domingo is scheduled to arrive at Terminal 4 at 6
p.m., and flight EX 702 leaves JFK for Santo Domingo at 9 a.m.

The plane has 12 first-class and 180 business-class seats.

In its second year of operation, Terminal 4 has 50 domestic and
international carriers representing 36 countries. The terminal was designed
to provide high-level security at all stages of passenger, baggage and
aircraft handling.

"Terminal 4 is proving to be the choice for airlines large and small," said
Alan Maca, president of the terminal.

Terminal 4, a private consortium chosen by the Port Authority, which manages
Kennedy, is the first U.S. air terminal built and operated by a group other
than an airline or government agency.
