Aeroports De Paris Delays Launch Of New Airport Terminal
DOW JONES NEWS

PARIS -- Paris airport operator Aeroports de Paris said Tuesday that the
launch of the new terminal 2E at Charles de Gaulle airport , which was due
to take place Tuesday, has been delayed.

Air France (F.AFG), which rents the terminal from ADP, said passengers due
to depart from terminal 2E have been transferred to other terminals because
of the delay.

"It's a question of days" before the terminal is launched, as all that is
needed is the approval of a local safety commission, a spokeswoman for
Aeroports de Paris said.

The commission, which was expected to give a greenlight to the project
Monday, couldn't approve the launch of the terminal due to missing technical
documents.

The ADP spokeswoman said the delay is also due to a slight delay in
finishing work at the terminal, as many workers couldn't get to work for
several days in the past few weeks because of public transport strikes in
the French capital.

The technical documents are missing due to strikes at French state-owned
mail service La Poste (F.PST).

French public service workers have been protesting for weeks against the
government's plans to reform the pension system.
