Public Workshop to be Held for Sacramento International Airport Master Plan
Press Release

SACRAMENTO - A public workshop for the Sacramento International Airport
Master Plan Study will be held Thursday, April 10 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00
p.m. at the KVIE Channel 6 Community Room (2595 Capitol Oaks Drive).

The purpose of the workshop is to communicate study results to date and
obtain input from the general public regarding the future role of Sacramento
International Airport. The workshop will be conducted in an open house
format, with a presentation at 6:00 p.m.

The Master Plan was temporarily suspended following the tragic events of
September 11, 2001, in order to allow time to determine the impact of those
events on the airport and the aviation industry. The project is now ready
to restart with an analysis of airport development alternatives.

Being presented at the workshop will be a summary of previously completed
work and a review of recent changes at Sacramento International pertaining
to airline service, parking, etc. Development of the Master Plan is
expected to be completed by December 2003.

The Sacramento County Airport System is responsible for planning,
developing, operating and maintaining Sacramento County's airports, which
include Sacramento Inter-national Airport, Executive Airport, Mather Airport
and Franklin Field.
