Mock disaster planned this morning at airport
The Tennessean
Nashville International Airport will conduct a disaster drill involving a
simulated plane crash at the airport this morning at 9:30 a.m. on the runway
parallel to Donelson Pike near the airport's overflow parking lot.
The Metro Airport Authority is required by the Federal Aviation
Administration to conduct a full scale Airport Emergency Plan exercise every
three years.
The authority is asking the public not to be alarmed at the sight of smoke
or fire and emergency personnel at the scene.
