Plattsburgh International Airport Closer To Taking Flight
PARC Partners With County
WPTZ-TV, NY
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -- Plans to create the Plattsburgh International Airport
took an important step forward Wednesday.
The Clinton County Legislature moved to formally partner with the
Plattsburgh Airbase Redevelopment Corp.
Under the agreement, PARC will try to bring in potential tenants. The county
will have to sign off on anyone moving in along the flight line.
"There were a lot of hurdles we had to go through on this and a lot of
things that people don't understand and we have gotten through he majority
of the hurdles, now it's a no-turning-back situation," said airport
committee chairman Robert Heins.
The county also passed a resolution that clears the way for federal funding
to build a terminal and make other airport improvements.
