Terrorism Alert Cuts Parking at Atlanta Airport
The Atlanta (GA) Journal-Constitution

Parking spaces within 300 feet of the terminal at Hartsfield International
Airport are closed again because of the nation's "orange" level terrorism
alert.

The spaces are mostly in hourly parking areas and are closed because of
concerns over car bombs. They were reopened in December after being closed
since the Sept. 11 attacks. If the code orange is lifted, the spaces will
open again.

The code orange has also triggered increased police patrols on airport
perimeters and in terminals nationwide, plus additional random screening at
checkpoints and gates, said Transportation Security Administration spokesman
Brian Turmail.
