Number of passengers grows in airports 
Argentina - Ambito Financiero


Argentina, -- In January 2003, the number of passengers who left and arrived
in the main airports in the country grew by 6.8% in relation to the same
month in 2002, while cargo traffic grew by 41.9% in the same period.
Comparing the last 12 months (February 2002-January 2003) against the same
previous period, the number of passengers fell by 14.2% and cargo transport
by air by 16.1%. Aeropuertos Argentina 2000, concessionary of the 32 main
airports in Argentina, including Ezeiza and Aeroparque, gave these figures.
In relation to the increase of passengers in January, international flights
reach 5.9% and national flights 3.7%.
