NASHVILLE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT INCREASES SECURITY IN AND AROUND TERMINAL
Homeland Security Threat Level Raised from Yellow to Orange
Press Release

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) - The Nashville International Airport is on heightened
alert today and will remain so indefinitely, due to the decision by the
Department of Homeland Security to raise the Threat Level from yellow to
orange. According to the department, the higher the threat condition, the
greater the risk of a terrorist attack.

In response to the increased threat level, the Metropolitan Nashville
Airport Authority's (MNAA) Department of Public Safety will be stepping up
patrols in and around the airport terminal and perimeter. All cars entering
airport property will be subject to search. Unattended vehicles will be
immediately towed from the property.

"Our responses to the various threat levels have been well thought out in
advance and approved by the Transportation Security Administration and the
Department of Homeland Security," said Raul L. Regalado, President and CEO
of Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority.

The Transportation Security Administration remains in charge of airline
passenger and baggage screening.

The MNAA urges passengers and visitors to the airport to call the airlines
for flight information and requests that travelers arrive at least two hours
before their scheduled departure, as delays may occur.
