Reno airport steps up security measures

Reno-Tahoe International Airport has stepped up security measures in
response to an elevated terror threat level.
The measures took effect Sunday, two days after the government raised its
terror threat to "high risk" orange.
Airport officials say every vehicle now may be subject to random inspections
prior to approaching the terminal building. Private vehicles will be
restricted to lanes closest to the parking garage, while only taxis,
limousines and buses will be allowed in lanes closest to the terminal
building.
Motorists are encouraged to use the parking garage to pick up or drop off
passengers due to increased congestion in lanes closest to the garage.
