Security Tightened At DC's National Airport Starting Monday -CNN
NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- Enhanced security measures go into effect Monday at
Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., the Cable News Network reported
Saturday.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the Department of Transportation's
Transportation Security Administration are implementing the measures,
effective 6:00 a.m. EST (1100 GMT) Monday, CNN reported.
The measures include requiring pilots to maintain two-way radio
communications, file flight plans "in a very specific way" and follow
standard air traffic procedures before entering a 30-mile radius, known as
the air defense identification zone, around the District of Columbia, CNN
said.
