Security scare briefly shuts down Spokane airport
The Associated Press
SPOKANE - Two concourses at Spokane International Airport were shut down
briefly on Friday because of a security scare, a spokesman said.
All passengers in the A and B concourses were evacuated in the incident,
airport spokesman Todd Woodard said.
The shutdown occurred after a bag went through the screening system and
appeared suspicious, Woodard said. Security officials were unable to
search the bag further because the passenger grabbed it and left the
screening area, Woodard said.
The shutdown ended quickly, and no flights were canceled, Woodard said.
