Glitch Could Cause Metro Airport Delays
WDIV-TV ClickOnDetroit.com
A major glitch in the new traffic control equipment at Detroit
Metropolitan Airport has the Federal Aviation Administration restricting
air traffic by closing two runways, Local 4 reported.
The glitch means that airplanes will have to take turns landing. The FAA
ordered the closings after finding radar blips showing the airplanes too
close together.
Officials stress that the planes were in no danger of colliding, but the
problem could cause major delays.
