No turning back on airport project, says Aeromexico head
Mexico - El Economista
MEXICO CITY, -- Alfonso Pasquel Bercenas, general director of
Aeromexico, told critics of the new airport planned in Texcoco that
"necessary projects cannot be cancelled, because if we do not get this
off the ground now, we will be sorry later." According to Pasquel, the
decision to build the new Mexico City alternate airport in Texcoco was
"adequate and fortunate." Farmers in Texcoco have rejected the project,
which would require the expropriation of their land.
