Copenhagen Airports interested in buying Italy's Aeroporto di Firenze
COPENHAGEN (AFX) - Copenhagen Airports AS is interested in buying
Italy's Aeroporto di Firenze, where a large share holding is expected to
be put up for sale soon, daily Boersen reported, citing Copenhagen
Airports's director Kjeld Binger, who is responsible for the airports'
international activities.
The purchase of the large share holding in Aeroporto di Firenze is
probably the first step towards a total take-over, the newspaper said.
"We are looking at many things. The possibilities in Florence Airport is
the one which is closest to. It is expected to be put up for sale," said
Binger to Boersen.
"The local authorities and the Chamber of Commerce in Florence will
probably put up 29 pct of the shares for sale. We will evaluate whether
this is interesting for us," said Binger.
Spain's Ferrovial as well as the Bennetton family and the Panerai group
in Italy are also interested in Aeroporto di Firenze, the newspaper
said.
