"Plans for third Paris airport abandoned"

Plans for third Paris airport abandoned (Le dossier du troisieme
aeroport remis a plat, reaffirme Dominique Bussereau)
France - Les Echos

Dominique Bussereau, France's new transport secretary, has confirmed
that plans for a third airport for Paris have been abandoned, but has
insisted that a "proper dialogue" should take place on the subject,
criticising the previous government's handling of the issue.

The Jospin government's decision to build a third airport at Chaulnes in
the Somme region, for completion in 2015, has already been questioned by
new transport minister Gilles de Robien. Mr. Bussereau has raised the
possibility of better organisation of the country's regional airports.
