Hunter forces runway closure at airport
Associated Press

SALT LAKE CITY - A wayward hunter shut down a runway at Salt Lake City
International Airport last night.

The runway closed for about 30 minutes after a pilot spotted a man with
a gun walking across a snowy field north of the airport.

An airport spokesman says the man may have been duck-hunting along a
nearby canal.

Police went to the area and became concerned when the man failed to
respond to their commands. After about 40 minutes, the man put down his
gun.

A police dispatcher says it's believed the man became disoriented after
having a diabetic attack. He was taken to a hospital.
