Mexico City Airport Decision Expected In October
Mexico - El Universal

MEXICO CITY, -- The main issue in the sector of communications and
transportation during the first months of Mexican President Vicente Fox's
administration has been the location of the proposed new airport to
supplement Mexico City, reported Mexico City daily el Universal. The
government had promised a decision by now, but has repeatedly postponed its
decision. Communications and Transportation Minister Pedro Cerisola recently
said a decision should be ready by late September or early October. The
federal government has heard from experts, industry professionals and
environmental groups, but still needs to complete its economic analysis
before a final decision can be made.
