Home-made bomb explodes at airport
PARIS, France (AP) -- An explosion caused by a small home-made bomb has
damaged a government office in the freight zone of Charles de Gaulle
airport, according to police.
The explosive, placed outside the doorway of a state unemployment office,
blew out the building's door, shattered windows and destroyed furniture
inside, said a police spokesman from the Bobigny precinct.
No-one was injured.
An employee at a neighbouring office discovered the damage on Monday
afternoon and notified police, who were not immediately certain when the
explosion occurred.
No one has claimed responsibility for the blast, which is under
investigation.
The building is located among a cluster of other offices in the freight zone
of Paris' main international airport, away from flight terminals, police
said.
