Unions threaten to strike at Brussels airport
The Associated Press

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM - Authorities at Brussels international airport Thursday
warned a threatened strike by airport workers could cause major delays or
cancellations this weekend.

Unions have threatened to strike as part of protests against government
moves to privatize the airport authority.

Sabena, Belgium's national airline, said that it foresees services being
delayed or diverted starting late Sunday night until late Monday night as a
result of the strike.

The airline said it would continue operations at Brussels ``unless forced by
a closure of the airport.''

Airport authorities urged customers to call ahead or to delay travel plans
as a precaution.
